<br />R-06-60 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION IN SlPPORT OF ESTABLISHING A DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR <br />VEHICLES "SELECT SITE" IN THE OFFICE OF THE COMMISSIONER OF THE <br />REVENUE, IN PORTSMOUTH CITY HALL. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Portsmouth City Council: <br /> <br />]. The City of Portsmouth hereby officially endorses and authorizes the establishment of <br />a Department of Motor Vehicles ("DMV") "Select Site" in the Office of the Commissioner of the <br />Revenue, in Portsmouth City Hall, as authorized by Virginia Code 946.2-205. <br /> <br />2. The DMV Select Site shall be established pursuant to the terms set forth in the <br />attached "License Agent's Agreement," between DMV and the Commissioner of the Revenue or <br />an agreement substantially the same which has been approved by the City Attorney. <br /> <br />3. The City Manager or his designee shall take such actions and provide such further <br />assurances as may be needed to implement the intent of this agreement. The use of this portion <br />of Portsmouth City Hall for the purpose described is hereby authorized. <br /> <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting held on <br />November 14.2006. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
