a. On-call <br /> <br /> Non-exempt employees who are required to be available for 24-hour <br /> emergency service and/or repair, and who have been recommended <br /> by the Department Head, reviewed by the FLSA Compliance Officer, <br /> and approved by the City Manager, may receive an allowance of <br /> $1,080 annually. Only non-exempt employees are eligible for this <br /> allowance. This allowance is not applicable to Public Safety <br /> Personnel. <br /> <br />b. Clothing <br /> <br /> Any sworn officer of the Fire or Police Departments who is required <br /> to wear civilian clothes in the regular performance of official duties <br /> shall be paid a clothing allowance of $600 annually. <br /> <br />c. Field Training Officers <br /> <br /> Police Officers serving as Field Training Officers, as designated by <br /> the Chief of Police, shall receive an allowance of $540 annually as <br /> approved in advance by the City Manager. <br /> <br />d. Cardiac Technician/Paramedic Certifications <br /> <br /> Sworn personnel in the Fire Department, except the Fire Chief and <br /> Deputy Fire Chief, who have successfully obtained and maintained <br /> the following certifications, and ride the ambulance as required will <br /> receive annually: <br /> <br /> *Cardiac Technician $1200 <br /> *Paramedic $1600 <br /> <br /> *NOTE: This allowance will be considered creditable <br /> compensation for purposes of computing retirement. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
