R-03-57 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO GRANT AN EASEMENT <br />TO DOMINION VIRGINIA POWER OVER AND UNDER A PORTION OF THE <br />PROPERTY OIY THE CITY AT THE LAKE KILBY WATER TREATMENT FACILITY <br />IN SUFFOLK, VIRGINIA. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the construction of improvements on the Lake Kilby Water Treatment <br />Facility property make it necessary for Dominion Virginia Power to lay, construct, operme and <br />maintain one or more lines of underground conduits and cables including, one or more lighting <br />supports and lighting fixtures as may from time to time be determined, and all wires, conduits, <br />cables, transformers, transformer enclosures, concrete pads, manholes, handholes, connection <br />boxes, accessories and appurtenances desirable in connection therewith; and <br /> WItEREAS, the appropriate placement for the lines would be in an easement not to <br /> exceed 30 feet in width across property at the Lake Kilby Water Treatment Facility; and <br /> WHEREAS, Dominion Virginia Power has requested that such easement be granted in <br /> order that the improvements may proceed. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br /> Virginia, that the City Manager be, and he hereby is authorized to grant to Dominion Virgima <br /> Power an easement for the sole purpose of providing underground and overhead facilities for the <br /> distribution of electricity, said easement not to exceed 30 feet in width. <br /> ADOPTED at a meeting of the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia held on <br /> September 23, 2003. <br /> <br />~I este: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
