Sec° 24-44. Water bills for water supplied in the Portsmouth Eivision; termination <br /> of service. <br /> <br /> The City of portsmouth and the area of Norfolk County served by the water <br />department shall constitute the portsmouth Division~ All quarterly accounts within <br />this division shall be staggered so that approximately the same number themeof will <br />be billed on t~e first day of each month. Bills for wa~er supplied, including charges <br />for sewage disposal se~;ice and utility taxes based thereon~ if any~ are due and DaY- <br />able upon presentation, and if not paid within fifteen days from billing date, the <br />service may be discontinued without further notice° <br /> <br /> Payment of such bills shall be made at the office of the water department <br /> on the days and during the hours thereof the said office is open for business, or <br /> such payment may be made at any collection agency established by the Superintendent <br /> of the water department for that purpose on the days and daring the hours thereof <br /> said collection agencies are open for business° <br /> <br /> Payment of such bills at collection agencies~ regulations and accounting <br /> procedures pertaining thereto shall be as prescribed by the Superintendent of the <br /> water department° Each collection agency shall be bonded in the amount of two thou- <br /> sand dollars and the bond and contract of appointment shall be approved as ~o form <br /> <br />by the City Attorney. <br /> <br />Seco 24-45. Water bills for water supplied in the Suffolk Division; termination <br /> of service, <br /> <br /> The City of Suffolk and the area of Nansemond County served by the water <br />department shall constitute the Suffolk Division° All quarterly accounts within this <br />division shall be staggered so that approximately the same nun~ber thereof will be <br />billed on the first day of each month~ Bills for water supptied~ including charges <br />for sewage disposal services and utility taxes based thereon~ if any, are due and <br />payable in the Suffolk office of the wa~er departmen~ upon presentation~ and if <br />paid within fifteen days from billing date, the service m~y be discontinued without <br /> <br />further notice. <br /> <br />-4- <br /> <br /> <br />
