OP3OINANCE TO ~%[~D Ah~ RE-ORDAIN SECTIONS ~-t~ A_ND $-iD OF CODE CF ~ CI~ OF POR~SI:OU~ VtTIGI>~IA~ 1951~ RE~ATI~G TO PP.!CES FOR L~S IN Ct~ CE~ETERIES AND TO CF~RGES FOR OPTING Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Portsmouth~ Vi~inig~ that Sections 6-18 and 8-1§ of the Code of the City of Portsmouth~ Virginia, i95i~ be amended and re-ordained to read as follows: Sec. 8-18. Prices for lots and spaces; care of lots and spaces~ ~e tots or other spaces in all of the city cemeteries~ including perpetual upkeep therefor~ hereafter sold in accordance with ordinances of shall he sold accordin~ to the following Schedule of prices: ~hole lots (1~ graves) ................ $800.00 ~o!e lots (8 graves) ................. Half lots (8 graves) .................. Half tots (4 graves) .................. $200.00 Single graves ......................... $ 50.00 Baby graves ........................... t 20.00 ~2e city shall ksep and maintain perpetually~ in a neat and proper dltion~ each lot hereafter sold in the city cemeteries, and keep the same ~n order, free f~om weeds and undergrowth~ and properly tarfed~ and the monuLen~s stones ~pright~ so long as the same continue intact and the purchasers of suca shall no~ be required to p~y ~o the city any further sum for their upkeep. Sec. 6-19. Prices and charges for work done~ The following schedule of prices is hereby established for work in v~ several cemeteries in the city: For opening graves 4 feet and under in length ...... S20o00 For opening graves over 4 feet in length .......... S40.00 For disinterring and r~:interring bodies grave is 4 feet and une~r mn length ............... For disinterring and reinterring bodies where grave is over ~ feet in length .................... ?1~ e above fees and cP~rgcs shall be paid before the work is performea s~ ~ race%pt shall be taken therefor. ordinance shall take effect on June I, 1959.
