AN ORDINANCE TO ANKEND SECTION 8-1.51 OF THE CODE C~ THE CITY OF PORTSS¢OUTH, VIRGINIA, 1951, PERTAINING TO REI{OVAL REPORTS° Be it ordained By the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Section 8-1051 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1951, be amended and reordained to read as follows: Section 8-1.5io Removal reports; when required; blanks; conten~s. (a) Every person owning or operatim~ any moving van, furniture car, Transfer wagon, dray, or any other vehicle that shall haul or move, or cause to be hauled or moved, the household goods or personal effects of any resident of the city from a place within the city to another place beyond the city limits shall, before hauling or moving any such property, make a report thereof to the Delinquent Tax Collector on blanks furnished by the Delinquent Tax Collector, which report shall contain generally the character of the property ~o be so moved, the full name of the owner and the person in possession or having the cue tody thereof, the' address from which and to which the property is to be moved or hauled, the date thereof, and the names of the owner and person in charge of such vehicle; provided, however, that if such property is to be moved or hauled by a person not licensed To engage in such business, it shall be the duty of the owner or person in possession or having custody thereof to make the reporT° (b) The provisions of subsection (a) above shall apply also to the movemen~ of household goods or personal effects from one place ~n the city to another place in the city~ except that the report shall be made within twenty-four hours after the hauling or moving of any such proper~y0 Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, on i960, City Clerk.
