AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 2-67 OF <br />TIlE CODE OE q],~E (;ITl' OF PORTS~,~UTII, <br />VIRGINIA, 196l~ TO INCREASE THE <br />MEMBERSHIP OF '~lE ADVISORY BOARD OF <br />RECREATION AND PARKS T0 SEVEN MEP~IBtiRS. <br /> <br /> Be ir ordaified by tie (,ouncll of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that section ~-67 of the Code <br />of the C~ty of Portsmouth, Virginia1 1U61, be amended <br />and reordained to read as follows: <br /> <br />Establishment and compo, si'cion: <br />appointment and term of members; <br />vacancies, <br /> <br /> There-shall be an advisory board of recreatzon <br /> and I)arks consisting of seven members. One of such <br /> members shall i~e a member of ~he school board and one <br /> a.n appointed memuer ox rim planning co~mission, to be <br /> elected by the council for terms of ~wo years fron the <br /> ~irst day of July~ i959~ and every two years thereaftcr.~ <br /> <br /> member of the advisory board of recreation and parks <br /> after the expiration of his term as a member of the <br /> <br /> may be. Five of such members shall be qualified voters <br /> of the city and shall 1~e elected by the council for <br />- terms of three years; provided, that of those first <br /> elected, one shall be elected for one year~ one for <br /> two years and one For three years from the first day - <br /> of July, 1959, ami one shall be elected for rue years <br /> and one for three years from the first day of July, <br /> t962.
