AN ORDtNkNCE TO AMEND THE ORDINANCE ENTITLED "AN <br />ORDINANCE PROVIDING }:OR THE CLASSIFICATION OF <br />EMPLOYb'~NT AND ^ COMPENSATION PL~X~ FOR EMPLOYEES <br />OF THE CITY"~ ADOPTED JUNE 27~ t961~ BY REVISING <br />THE BASIC PAY SCiiEDULE~ PARTS I ?~qD II, ATt'ACHED <br />D!ERETO .~ND b~DE A PART THEREOF. <br /> <br /> Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia~ that the ordinance entitled "~n Ordinance Providin~ For The <br />Classification Of Employment ~nd A Compensation Plan For Employees DF The <br />CityTM, adopted June 27, 196i~ be~ and the same is hereby amended and reordained <br />in the following particulars: <br /> <br />71~e Basic Pay Schedule~ Part ] and Part II: attached <br />to and made a ~art of this ordinance, shall be <br />substituted for the Basic Pay Schedule~ Part t and <br />Part II~ attached to the said ordinance as adoptea <br />June 27: 1961. <br /> <br />(2) The effective date of this amendment shall be July <br /> 1962~ <br /> <br /> This ordinance bein~ necessary for the preservation of the <br />public heaith~ morals and safety~ an emergency is declared co exist~ and <br />it shall take effect from snd after its passage. <br /> <br /> Adopted at a meeting of the Council of the City of Portsmouth <br />held June 26~ 1962~ <br /> <br />City Clerk, <br /> <br /> <br />
