SEWAGE DISPOSAL FUND <br /> <br />Operating Expenditures <br />Non-Operating Expenditures <br /> Total Appropriations <br />[~appropriated Balance for Contingencies <br /> <br />208,078.00 <br />23~,815o~0 <br /> <br />439,893°00 <br />_ 6~491,0__0 <br /> <br />Total Appropriations and Unappropriated Balance <br /> <br />$ 446,384.a~ <br /> <br /> Section 2~ (a) The appropriations hereby made, except those for interest <br />and education and scholarships, shall be made available on the approval of the City <br />Manager, who shall report to the City Council at its first regular meeting in each <br />month in detail all expenditures made for the preceding month and al! funds, as Car <br />as practicable, shall be expended in equal amounts each month. <br /> <br /> (b) The appropriations for interest shall be made available as <br />same may become due. <br /> <br /> (c) The City Manager is hereby authorized at any time during <br />the fiscal year to transfer funds in the aggregate not to exceed $10,000.00 from one <br />department to another department, or from the unappropriated balance for contingencies <br />to one or more departments. <br /> <br /> (d) The City Manager is hereby authorized at any time during the <br />fiscal year to effect any consolidation of offices, or make other changes he may deem <br />to be in the interest of the City, provided there is no increase in excense. <br /> <br /> Section 3. The City Auditor is hereby authorized to transfer funds for the <br />purpose of equalization, from any fund in one authorized bank to the same fuad in <br />another authorized bank, provided the transfer check is countersIgned by the City <br /> <br /> Section 4. Monies paid to the retired school teachers shall be termed as <br />gratuity and only as a temporary measure. If the State of Virgxnia takes over this <br />responsibility, this gratuity will cease. <br /> <br /> Section S. To the extent that any monzes in the accounts of the School <br />Board derived from sources other than the State of Virginia are unexpended at the <br />end of the fiscal year 1962-1963 and thus become available for use the next fiscal <br />year~ the city's share of the appropriation made for education and scholarships <br />for the next ensuing fiscal year shall be decreased in a like amount. <br /> <br /> <br />
