ORDINANCE TO AMEN[) TIlE CODE OF ~{E CITY OF PORTS[,DUTft, <br />VIRGINIAs 1961, BY ADDiNG,THER£TO A NEIq SECTION NO~4BERED <br />13-14.1, ~,~KING THE THROi~ING OR DE'POSITING OF ANY WASTE <br />ON ANY PREMISES OR VACANT PROPERTY UNLAWFUL. <br /> <br /> Be it ordained by the Council of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, tha~ the Code of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, 1961,, be:'amended by adding thereto a new section <br />numbered 15-14.1~ to read as follows: <br /> <br /> Sec. 15-14.1. Throwing/etc., waste on any <br /> premises or vacant property. <br /> <br /> It shall De unlawful for any person to <br /> :: throw, drop or deposit, or to cause to be <br /> thrown, droppea or deposited on any premises <br /> o~ vacant property any waste, including, but <br /> not limited to refuse, garbage, ashes, rubbishj <br /> building rubbish, dead animals, putrescible <br /> matter and anything injurious to health; pro- <br /> vided, however, that the p~ohibition contained <br /> in this section shall not apply to the deposit <br /> of waste not injurious to health on a public <br /> dump where permission to make such deposit is <br /> granted by the director of public works, nor <br /> to the filling in or grading of property with <br /> earth~.mud, ashes and'similar materials. <br /> <br />V' . .
