AN OR~iNANCE TO PROVIDE PeR TfiE ACQUiSiTION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY 8Y THE CiTf OF PORTSHOUT~ U~iDER EHiITENT DOY'EdN PROCEEDINGS PURSUANT TO C~iAPTER 25~ OF 2HE ACTS OF ASSENiBLY OF 1958, SAID PROPERTf ,'3Eii,iG HECESSARY FOR iDiPROVEMENT OF A PORT!DN OF PORTSMOUTH BOULEVARD, ROI/TE 33'7, PARCEL 155, t'K{EP~AS, the City of Portsmouth has found it to be necessary mo widen and otkerwise improve a portion of Portsmouth Boulevard, Route 337. under a Pederat Urkan Aid Program whereby in is the responsibility of the said City to acquire all necessary additional proper~y; and ~z~{EREAS, the City of Portsmouth has no~ been able no purchase certain properny necessary no this pro3ec~ because the owner thereof and the City have not been able us a~ree upon ~he price uo be paid therefor; and ~EREAS. the advancemen~ of nhe work will be delayed unreason- abl~; if the said property is not made avniiable as soon as possible. NOW~ THEREPDRE, be it ordained by the Cauncit of the City of Portsmouth, Viruinia, that the City Attorney is directed no institute eminenm domain proceedings, employmng counsel for that purpose, againsn the propermy hereinafter described in accordance wmth and pursuant to Section 23-f of the Charter of the 2zty of Portsmouth {Chapter 258 of the Acts of Assem~!y of !958), and than the sum of $3,170.88 be deposited no the credit of the cour~ as provided by law no com- pensame the owner thereof: {a) The owner of record is as follows.
