~N ORDINANCE TO A~NDTHE CODE OF ~ C%TY <br />OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, 1961, BY ADDING <br />~HERETO A NEW SECTION NUMBERED 19-35.2, <br />PROHIBITING LOITERING, <br /> <br /> Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, that the Code of the City ~f Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />1961, be amended by adding thereto a new section numbered <br />19-SS.2, to read as~follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 19-55.2. L~itering, <br /> <br />Any person or persons loitering or standing on the <br />street, sidewalk or curb shall move on or separate when <br />required so to do hy any police officer, and shall cease <br />to occupy such position on the street, sidewalk or curb. <br /> <br /> This ordinance being necessary for the preservation of <br />the public morals, health and safety, an emergency is <br />declared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect from <br />and after its passage. <br /> <br /> Adopted py the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held August 1i, 1964, <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
