AN ORDINANCE TO AUTHORIZE AND DIRECT THE qONVEYANCE OF NINE PARCELS OF LAND WITHIN THE PROPOSED RIGHT OF WAY OF tNTERS~FATE ROUTE 264. WHEREAS, the State Highway Departmen~ has commenced authorized acquisition of the right of way for Interstate Route 2641 and WHERBAS, the Planning Commission approved the location of said highway at the points involving the nine parcels of land hereinafter mentioned; and WHEREAS, the Commonwealth of Virginia, with the power of eminent domain, has offered the sums hereinafter stated for the respective parcels of land. NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they hereby are, directed and authorized to execute, seal and deliver to the Commonwealth of Virginia, upon payment of the sums hereinafter stated into the City Treasury, a deed in form approved by the City Attorney, with appropriate warranties of title, conveying the following described nine parcels of land situate in the City of Portsmouth: PARCEL A Being as shown on Sheet 5 of the plans to be used for Route 264, State Highway Project 0264-124-071, R/W 202, and lying on both sides of Interstate Route 264 canterline and adjacent to the existing east right of way line of Atlanta Avenue from the existing east right of way line of Atlanta Avenue at approximate Station 472+06 to the exis:ing west right of way line of Camden Avenue at approximate Station 474+06, and containing 1.580 acres, more or less, land. PAR~L B Being as shown on Sheet 10~of the-said plans and lying on both sides of Interstate Route 266 centerline and adjacent to the existing east right of way line of Marie Avenue from the existing east right of way line of Maple Avenue az approximate Station 485+04 to the existing west right of way l~ne of Day Street at approximate Station 455+58, and containing 0.058 acre, more or less, land, PARCEL C Being as shown on Sheet !0 of the said plans and lying on both sides of Interstate Route 264 centerline and adjacent to the existing east right of way line of Day Street from the existing east right of way line of Day Street at apDroximat% Station 485+70 :o the lands of J. R. Cook at approximate Statlon 484+45, and containing 0°295 more or less~ land.
