AN ORDiNANC~ TO ;~ND THE CODE OF TP~ CITY OF PORTS~OL~H, VIRGINIA, 1961, BY A.,~NDING SECTIONS 9-17, 9-19~ 9-20 ;~ND 9-21, PERTAINING RESPECTIVELY TO APPLICATION FOR PERE~iT TO DO ELECTRICAL WO~<~ G}L~N"rING OF SUCH PERMIT, FEES THEPJ~FOR GENERALLY, AND SCHEDULE OF FEES, AND BY REPEALING SECTIONS 9-2S, 9-24, 9-2S~ 9-26 AND 9-29 PERTAINING R~SPECTIVELY TO ELECTRICI;Jq'S C~RTIFICATE, REVOCATION THEREOF, BOND REQUIRED, RESPONSIBILITY OF BONDS}MN, ;~ND TRANSFER OF ELECTRICIAN'S CERTIFi CATES. Be it ordained by the Cotu~cil of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1961, be amended by ~ending sections 9-17, 9-19, 9-20 and 9-21 thereof, and by repealin~ sections 9-25~ 9-24, 9125, 9-26 and 9-29 thereof, such amended sections to read as follows: Sec. 9-17. Same - Application therefor. Applications for a permit as required in section 9-16 shall be made in writing, on forms provided for that purpose~ to the electrical inspector and shall be filled ouZ according to the forms furnished. ~plication$ will be received during offic~ hours and permits gr~nted. No application will be acknow- ledged until the necessa~/ fe~ has b~en paid. Sec. 9-19. Same - To whom granted. Permits to install electric heat, light or power wiring or apparatus used on smme or for altering er repairing same shall be issued only to qualified persons as defined in section 9-55. Sec. 9-20. Same - Fees - Generally. %~ne fees for permits as required in section 9-16 shall be as set out in section 9-21 and shall be ~id by the person to whom the permit is issued. The electrical inspector upon ~c~ipt of an application in due form, filed aa provided in section 9-17 shall make u7 a statement of the fees to be paid by the applic~ut~ in accordance wi~h the s~hedule of fees set forth in section 9-21.
