~ORTSHOb~I~ i,~HGiNIA, 1961, E~~ ~iN0 SEOT~ON <br />13-16 ;~ND 13-17 ~OY <br />~W SECTIONS N~BE~ 13-17.1 ~NOUGH 13~i7.12 <br />PE~AII~NG TO ~S~ D~RIS <br /> <br /> Be it ordained by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia~ that the Code of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virgir~a, 1961, be ~mended By <br />amending Sections 13-16 and 13-17 thereof and by <br />addi~s thereto new sections numbered 13-17.1 <br />through 13-17.12 such arssnded and new sections <br />to read as follows: <br /> <br />ARTICLE Ii. }lEEDS, DEBPdES ~N'O <br /> AB~EAO.} ~D VPi~ICLES <br /> <br />Sec, 13-16.- Definitions. <br /> <br /> (a) Abandoned vehicle. The words "abg~ndoned <br />vehicle" as used in this ~rticle shall be held to <br />include any vehicle that is unlicensem s~nd without <br />a current inspection certificate, ±~ required~ and <br />in addition thereto, ~v~y contain one or more of <br />the following elements: rusted, ~,mecked, junked, <br />pamtiaiiy dismantled, inoperative, discarded or <br />abandoned. <br /> <br /> (b) ~Debris. The word "debris" as used in <br />this article shall be held to include cuttings <br />of weeds, as herein defined, trash, jur~, disc~lrd- <br />ed or abandoned parts of veh±c!es, or ar~ other <br />material which may provide a hidir~ place for <br />sn~{es or rats, or anytt~ing or aNf condition <br />which ~my be a fire ,.menace or breedings place <br />for mosquitos, give off obnoxious or offensive <br />odors or endanger the health of the residents of <br />this city, <br /> <br /> <br />
