AN ORD ~INANCE TO AI~5~fD THai C6~0F ~ CITY OF <br />PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA~ 1961, BY ADDING THERETO <br />A NE~ SECTION NUNBERED 18-i90ol, ~PiING CERTAIN <br />TRAFFIC REPORTS OPEN TO INSPECTION BY CERTAIN <br />PERSONS AND PROVIDING FOR THE FUP~NISHING OF <br />COPIES THEREOF. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, that the Code o£ the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1961, be amended by <br />adding thereto a new section numbered IS-190.1, <br />such new section to read as follows: <br /> <br />See. 1S-190.1o <br /> <br />ReporTs made under certain <br />sections open to inspection <br />of ~ertain persons; copies. <br /> <br /> But any reporT! of an accident made <br />pursuant to sections 151-15S, 18-1S4, 1S-185, <br />15-15S and 15-159 shalll be open to the inspection <br />of any person involved or injured in the accident <br />or as a result thereof, or his attorney; and <br />provided, further, that the Chief of Police shall <br />upon written request o£~ any such person or attor- <br />ney or any authorized ~epresentative of any <br />insurance carrier reasonably anticipating exposure <br />to civil liability as a~ consequence of the accident <br />furnish a copy of any such report to such person, <br />attorney or representative, for which a fee of <br />$1.00 shall be charged for each such copy furnished; <br />~rovided, however, the Chief of Police may furnish <br />an extract of such information as may be contained <br />in such report sufficient to identify the accident~ <br />the vehicle involved, the driver, owner and insurer <br />of such vehicle,' and such other information aa he <br />shall deem pertinent, u~on such form as he sha~l <br />deem advisable, for which no fee shall be charged. <br /> <br /> <br />
