AN ORDINANCE TO A~END SEC~ION 29-11 OF THE CODE <br />OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, 1961, IN- <br />CREASIJIG CERTAIN CHAR~F~S FOR SEWAGE DISPOSAL <br />SERVICE. <br /> <br /> Be it ordained by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That Section 29-11 of the Code <br />of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1961, be <br />amended and reordained to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 29-11. Charges for sewage disposal <br /> service - Rate schedule. <br /> <br /> Any person contracting with the City for <br />sewage disposal, or the owner, lessee or tenant, <br />or sc~ or all of them, who uses or occupies <br />real estate which directly or indirectly is or has <br />been connected with the sewage disposal system of <br />the city, or from or on which originates or has <br />originated sewage or industrial wastes, or other <br />wastes, which directly or indirectly enters or <br />will enter the sewage disposal system shall pay <br />to the city for the use and services of such sys- <br />tem the fees, rents and charges according to the <br />following schedule of rates. <br /> <br /> Charges for sewage disposal service will be <br />based upon the water consumed on the premises as <br />measured by meters, used for this purpose, as <br />follows: <br /> <br /> (1) For the first fifteen thousand cubic <br />feet used in any one month, eighteen cents per <br />hundred cubic feet. <br /> <br /> (2) For anynext quantity in excess of fif- <br />teen thousand cubic feet but not over one million <br />cubic feet used in any one month, eleven cents <br />per h~dred cubic feet. <br /> <br /> <br />
