ORDINANCE NO. 1967-103 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE TO CLOSE A <br /> PORTION OF NOTTAWAY AVENUE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, W. C. Osborne has made application to vacate, close <br /> <br />and discontinue the hereinafter described-street, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by resolution of this Council. adopted June 27, 1967, <br /> <br />viewers were appointed pursuant to Section 15.1-364 of the Code of <br /> <br />Virginia, 1950, as amended, to view the hereinafter described street, <br /> <br />and to report in writing whether in their opinion, any, and if any, what <br /> <br />inconvenience would result from discontinuing the hereinafter described <br /> <br />street; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the said viewers have reported in writing that in <br /> <br />their opinion no inconvenience would result from closing and discontinuing <br /> <br />said street. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of <br /> <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, that that portion of Nottaway Avenue lying between <br /> <br />the northern right of way line of King Street and the southern right of <br /> <br />way.line of the Seaboard Coast Line Railroad Companv (formerly Atlantic <br /> <br />Coast Line Railroad Company) be; and the same is hereby closed and <br /> <br />vacated as a public street. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br /> <br />at a meeting held November 28, 1967. <br /> <br /> Teste: <br /> <br /> <br /> City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
