AN ORDINANCE TO CLOSE A <br />PORTION OF NORTH STREET <br /> <br /> '~REAS, John T. C~rran, Richard H. Wood~ng, P. H. Boyette, Jr., <br />Herbert L. Wiltard a~d W. T. Johnson, Trustees of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />Lodge No. 82, B. P. O. E., have made application to vacate, close and <br />discontinue the hereinafter described street; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by resolution of this Council, adopted ~y 23, 1967, <br />~iewers~were appointed pursuant to Section 15.1-364 of the Code of <br />Virginia, 1950, as amended, to view the hereinafter described street, and <br />to ~eport in writing whether in their opinion, any, and if any, what in- <br />convenience would result from discontinuing the hereinafter described <br />street; and <br /> <br /> WY~_~F~S, the said ~iewers have reported in writing that in <br />their opir_ion no in~onMenience would 'result from closing and discontinuing <br />said street. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDA~D by the Council of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, that that portion of North Street lying between the <br />western right of way line of Williamsburg A~enue and the cen~er of <br />Scott's Creek, be; and the same is hereby closed and vacated as a public <br />street. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br /> <br />at a meeting held Octobe~ 10, 1967. <br /> <br /> Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
