Virginia, con- <br />siders it desirable to strictly control the operation of autmmotive service <br />stations in the various zonir~ districts of the City; and <br /> <br /> ~YF~LREAS, the Planning Cormmission, after due notice and hearing, <br />has recon~r~nded that the ooeration of automotive service stations in the <br />Industrial M-l, Industrial' M-2 'and Con~uercial C-2 zoning distri6ts be <br />limited through the issuance of use permits and that they be prohibited <br />from the Comercial C-3 zoring district; and <br /> <br /> NOW, ~P~ORE, BE IT ORD~a_I~ by the Council of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia: that sections 4-3, 4-4, 4-~ and 4-7, of the Zonirg <br />Ordir~n~a of the City of Portsmouth, t961,~ be amended and reordained to <br />read as follows; <br /> <br />Section 4-3. Lfdustrial ~! District Uses. <br /> <br /> (a) Within the Industrial M-1 District the follov~g uses are <br />owed: <br /> <br />Accessory uses aud st~actures incidental to any permitted residential <br />use, such as se~nt's quarters~ garages, greer~houses or workship$, <br />-proVided that none shall be rented or occupied for Eain, that no <br />accessory building shall be ir~habited by pther than employees of the <br />o~mer, lessee, or terant of the premises; provided that no accessory <br />b~di~g to be used for living quarters shall be constructed upon a <br />plot until tl~ construction of the principal building has been <br />cc~maenced. <br /> <br />Accessory uses clearly incidental to a permitted use and which will <br />nou crea~e a nuisance or hazard. <br /> <br />Amusement enterprises sLmi]sr to billiards ,-poot, bowlirg~ shobti~ng <br />g~]]ary,- roller riok, dance hall, but not including theater. <br /> <br />Appliance distributors for %~lesale. <br /> <br />Assembly halls~ co~eu~,~vnmasiumns, stadiums an~ sLmitar structures. <br />Assambly of machines ~r~ .appliances fr~m previously prepared parts. <br /> <br /> <br />
