AN ORDiNaNCE TO ~D SECTION 10-109 OF ~ CODE <br />OF ~ CI~f OF PORTSMOL~EH, VIRGI2[IA, 19o-, <br />THE TAX ON THE S~i~ OF <br /> <br /> Be it ordained by the Council of the City of <br />PQrt smouth, Virgir~ia: <br /> <br />1, That Section 10-109 of the Code of the City of <br />P~rtsmouth, Virginia~ 1961, be a~ended and reordained <br />to read as follows {[~;'~, <br /> <br />Sec. 10-109. Levy. <br /> <br /> In addition to all other taxes of every kind now <br />dmposed by law, there is hereby levied smd imposed by <br />the city upon each and every sale o£ cigarettes a tax, <br />'the amount whereof to be paid by the seller in the <br /> manner hereinafter prescribed, sbal! be four cents for <br /> each twenty cigarettes or fractional nm~aber thereof. <br /> <br />2..
