Fanney and Teresa O..Fanney, husband and wife, have made <br /> <br /> ~ ' h hereinafter <br /> application to vacate, close an TM discontinue t e <br /> described street; and <br /> <br /> ~, by resolution of this council, adopted ~y 9, 196~, <br /> viewers were appointed pursuau~ to Section 15.1-364 of the Code of <br /> <br />.Virginia, 1950, as amended, to view the hereinafter described street, <br /> and to report in writing whether in their opinion, any, ar~ if any, <br /> what inconvenience would result from'~disco~tinuing the hereinafter <br /> described street; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ the said viewers have ~ported in writing that in <br /> their opinion no inconvenience would result from closi~ and discon- <br /> tinuing said street. <br /> <br /> NOW, ~HEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of <br /> Portsmauth, Vir~=inia, that that porti6n of Columbia Street lying between <br /> a line 180 feet east of the eastern right of way line of Loudon Avenue <br /> and a ]~ne 272 feet east of the eastern right of way line of Loudon <br /> Avenue be,-and the same is hereby closed and vacated as a public street, <br /> reserving unto the City of Portamouth~ however, the perpetual easement, <br /> right and privilege ~o m~%ntain, operate and reDlace all public utility <br /> lines now situate witnin th~ area so closed and vacated.. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br /> <br />at a:~etLug held June l~, 1967. <br /> <br />Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
