~/me maximum and minimum speed limits on highways 0f. this city <br />_-shall be as hereinafter prescribed: <br /> <br />Maximum limits <br /> <br /> a) Sixty-five miles per hour <br />Highways or other limited access <br />vehicle is a passenger <br />office bus, pickup or <br />of five thousand pounds, or a <br />on such highways if the vehicle is <br />or combination of <br />vehicle being used to tow a <br />house trailer, <br /> <br />s~lf-propulsion, or a <br /> <br /> b) Sixty miles hour on <br />four or more lanes, if the <br />bus, Urdted States post-office 'bus, an <br />actual gross weight of five 1 <br />five miles per hour on <br />tractor truck, or combination <br />'or is a motor vehicle being used to tow a ' <br />pulsion, or a house trailer, provided that~ for Such highways <br />been prescribed by the city <br />gation. On sny highway where <br />plainly indicated upon the signs; and where the · <br /> indicated by posted signs, there shall b~ a prima facie presun~tion that such <br /> engineering and traffic investigation was made. <br /> <br /> c) Fifty-five miles per hour on highways not included in (a) or <br />(b) if the vehicle is a passenger motor vehicle, passenger bus, United States <br />post-office bus, pickup or panel trdck not exceeding an actUal gross weight <br />of five thousand pounds, or a motorcycle; 'and forty-five miles per hou? on <br />such highways if the vehicle is a truck, road tractor, tractor t~ruck, or <br />combination of vehicles designed to transport property] or is a mOtor vehicle <br />being used to tow a vehicle designed for self-propulsion, or a house trailer. <br /> <br /> d) Thirty-five miles per hour on any highway other than. an inter- <br />state highway, if the vehicle is being used as a.sch°°l bus earning children, <br />and forty-five miles per hour on interstate highways. <br /> <br /> e) Forty-five miles per hour on any :highway if the vehicle or <br />combination of vehicles is operating under a speci~al permit .is. sued[by t_he <br />State Highway Commission in accordance with ~ 46.1-330 and 46.1-343 of the <br />Code of Virginia.
