has no permanent place of business in the ~ity of Portsmouth shall pay <br />a license tax of $100.00. <br /> <br /> Every person erzgaged in eanvassirg or soliciting for the taking, <br />developing, copying or enlarging of pictures or photographs, or engaged <br />in picking up or receiving undeveloped photographic films, pictures or <br />photographs to be developed~ copied or e~arged~ for work to be done in <br />the City of Portsmouth, shall pay a license tax of $25.00, and for work to <br />be done outside the City of Portsmouth, shall pay a license tax of $100.00. <br /> <br />Section 84. Piano Ttmers: <br /> <br />The license tsz~ on all piano tuners shall be $15.00. <br /> <br />Section 85. Pistol Dealers: <br /> <br /> On every person selling pistols there shall be a license tax of <br />$30.00 per year. Not prorated or vransferred. <br /> <br />Section 86. Popcorn and Candy ~chines: <br /> <br /> On every popcorn or candy or other like machines, there shall be <br />a license tax of $5.00 ~nd this vax shall not be prorated nor trmns~erred. <br /> <br />Section 87. Professiom~l Occupations: <br /> <br /> Every person cor~uctirg or engaging in any of the followir~ oc- <br />cupatio.ns shall pay mn ~mnual license tax of $50.00 for the first $5,000 <br />and 8.70 for each additional 8100 of gross receipts of the occupation, <br />as hereinabove defined, in said occupation for the previous calendar <br />year: <br /> <br />A public acco~om, tant <br />An advertisirg agent or fi~n <br />An air conditioning ei~ineer <br />An appraiser or evaluator oz~ real estate for others for <br /> compensation <br />.am architecv~ landscaper <br />An artist <br />An assayer <br />An attorney at law <br />An auctioneer, al! t~es <br />An auditi~g c~mny or firm <br />A broker, any type other than pavmbroker ~d lo~n broker <br /> listed elsewhere <br />A blue printer <br />A bookkeeper, public <br />A chaT~ca! eng~eer <br /> <br />-32~ <br /> <br /> <br />
