- ~_~r OHDINANCE TO CLOSE AN UNNAMED LANE ON~ <br /> ~ EASTERLY SIDE OF AIRLINE BOULEVARD <br /> <br /> or~smou~n nave maGe appzzcation to vacate and close that herein- <br />after'described portion of a certain street located on the easterly <br />side of Airline Bouleva_~d; and~ ' - ~ <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by resolution of this Council ~edopted November <br />ll, t969, via~ers were appointed pursuant to Section 15.1-364.of the <br />Code of Virginia: 1950, as amended, to view the' hereinafter described <br />portion of the said street ar~ to report in writing whether in their <br />opinion ars, and if any, ~nat inconvenience would result fr°m the dis- <br />continuing of the below described street; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, more than three of the said viewers ~have report- <br />ed ~_u writing t~hat in their opinion no. inconvenience would result from <br />cl?sing and discontinu,ing said street; <br /> <br />" NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that all~ that certain unnamed lane described <br />as follows, to-wit: <br /> <br /> Beginning at a point 280', more or less: East of <br /> the western line of Hodges and Grice, where a <br /> lane twenty feet in width intersects the easterIy <br /> side of Airline Boulevard (formerly known as Suf- <br /> folk Road), said lane at such intersection being <br /> the southerly bou~ndar~y of Lot #2 on the plat of <br /> Hcdges and Grice and the notherly boundary of Lot <br /> #3 oD said plat; and thence running along the <br /> aforesaid lane in a southeasterly direction to <br /> its tarmir~us as shown on the Hodges and Grice <br /> plat; <br /> <br />be and the same is hereby closed mud vacated as a public street. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Cou_ucil of the City of Portsmouth, Vir~oinia, <br />at a meeting held December 16, 1969. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
