AN ORDINANCE TO ~MEND THE ZO~VING ORDINANCE C~ THE CiTY OF PORTSMOUTH, 1961, <br />BY AMENDING SIEC~IONS 3-16 AND 5-5 PEETAINING TO OFF-S1Rn~I' AL~fOMOBILE PARK- <br />lNG SPACES. <br /> <br /> Be it ordaiued by the Council of the City of Portmmouth, virginia, <br />that the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Portsmouthi 1961, be amended by <br />amending Sections 3-16 and 5-5 thereof, such amended sections to read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Section 3-16. Off-Street Automobile Parking. <br /> <br />Where off-street automobile parking is required as stated under <br />_the dimensional requirements of a particular zor~ng district, parking spaces <br />-~sPm]l be constructed and permanently maintained for owner~ or occupants and <br />' their invitees and licensees as follows: <br /> <br />USE OF BU~DING <br /> <br />MINIMUM 5T~B~R OF PLRKING SPACES <br /> <br />One and two-family dwellings. <br /> <br />1 Space for each dwelling urait. <br /> <br />Multi-familydwellingof five <br />stories, or less. <br /> <br />Multi-familydwellings of more <br />than. five stories. <br /> <br />Hotels. <br /> <br />1 Space for each ~e!ling unit. <br /> <br />1.25 Spaces for each dwelling unit. <br /> <br />1 Space for each of first 20 Sleeping <br />rooms, plus 1 space for each 4 romrz <br />over 20. <br /> <br />Tourist hc~s, motels. <br /> <br />1 Space for each guest bedroom. <br /> <br />houses. <br /> <br />Private clubs and lodges. <br /> <br />1 Space for each 2 guest rooms. <br /> <br />Adequate spaces as deter~inedby the <br />Planning Commission after submission <br />of site plan. <br /> <br />Hospitals. <br /> <br />'1 Space for each 3 patient beds, plus <br />1 additional space for each staff or <br />visiting doctor, plus l additional <br />~pace for each 3 employees including <br />nurses. <br /> <br /> <br />
