AN ORDINANCE TO ~]D SECTION 37A-20 OF 5~E CODE OF 5~ CI~f OF PO~TS~OUTH, VIRGIN-IA, 1961, TO INC~ASE ~]~ P~.TE OF C ~HARGES FOR WA'fEH SERIrICE. Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: 1. ~nat Section 37A-20 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, t961, be amended and reordained to read as follows: Section 37A-20. Meter rates for rater suopli?~ d. (a) For all water w~ich passes through the meters, the consumers within the corporate limits of the City of Ports- mouth shall pay the following rates: (1) For the first fifteen'thousand cubic feet used in any one month, tk'rrty-three cents per hundred c~oic feet. (2) For any hex5 quanti6y between fifteen thou- sand cubic feet and one ~llion cubic feet used in any one month, twenty-two cents per hur~lred cubic feet. (3) For any next quantity in excess of one million cubic feet used in any one month, seventeen cents per hundred cubic feet. The miraimt~n charge for v~ter used, exclusive of the ready-to-serve charge, sh~l be One and 32/100 ($1.32) Dollars per month. (b) For all ~ter which passes through the meters, the consumers outside the corporate limits of the City of Portsmouth and the City of Suffolk shall pay the following rates: (1) For the first fifteen thousand cubic feet used in-any one month, sixty-six cents per hundred cubic feet. (2) For any next quantity between fifteen thou- sand cubic feet snd one million cubic feet used in any one ~Dnth, twenty-two cents per hundred cubic feet.
