AN ORDINANCE FOR CLOSING PORTZONS OF CERYAIN STREg?S IN WAS~!N~TOD HEIGht-rS. 45~, Washir~on Heights ~roperties, Inc. has made application to %-aeate, close and discontinue the hereinafter described portior~ of certain streets located in the subdivision of Washington Heights; Snd WHEREAS, by resolution of this Council, adopted December 17, 1968, view,rs were appointed, pursuant to Section 15.1-364 of the code of Virginia 1950 as amended, to view the hereinafter portions of the said streets located in ~%shingbon Heights ~Ld to report ~_n writing whether in their opi~ion, any, and if uny, what inconvef~ience would result ~fr~m discontinuing the below described stz~eets; ~KfqEAS, the said viewers have reported in writing that in their opinion 'no inconvenience would result from closing ~nd discontinuin~ said streets; ~©W, ~RE, be it ordained by the Council of the City of Portsmouth~ Virginia, that: JACKSON AVENUE, as shown- on the plat of Wasbin~on Heights, bounded (A) on the East by the Eastern, perimeter boundary line Of Washingvon Heights, as shown on said plat, and on the West by the Easvern right of way lmne of Grog~n Avenue; (B) ana on t e East by the Western right of ,~y line of Cutoff Ave- nue, and on the West by the Western permiter boundary line of Washington Heishts~ ~s sho~m on sai~ plat; MOORE A~mNV3E, as is s.hown on the plat of Washington Heights, as said street is bounded on the North by the Southern rig~ht of ~y line of Jackson Avenue and on the South by the Northern right of way line of Eiliott Avenue; GROGAN AV~N~3E, as is shown on the plat of Washington Heig~nts, as said street is bounded on the North by the Southern right of way of Jackson Avenue, arid on the South by the Northern right of way line of Green- wood Boulevard;
