AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTIONS 29.1-203 AND 29.1-205 OF THE CODE <br />OF THE CITY OF PORT~40UTH, VIRGI~Y!A, 1961, PERTAINING TO THE CHARGES <br />FOR SEWAGE DISPOSAL SERVICE AND TRUCK-H~L~ED WASTE FROM SEPTIC TANKS. <br /> <br />· Virginia: <br /> <br />Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br /> <br /> Section !. That Sectzo.ns 29.1-20B and 29.1-205 of thelCode <br />of the City of Portsmouth, Vir~"~a, 1961, be amended and. reordained <br />to read as 'follows: <br /> <br />Section .29.1-20B, Charges for Sewage D~sposal Service - Rate Schedule. <br /> <br /> (a) Any person contracting with the City for sewage disposal <br />service, or the owner, lessee or ten~ut, or some or s]l of them, who uses <br />or occupies any real ~state which directly or indirectly is or has been. <br />connected with the sewage system 'of the city, or from or on which origi~ <br />nates or ~as orig~._~at~ed sewage or industrial ~$tes, or other ~stes, <br />which directly or Lndirectly enters or vrlll enter the se~wage system shall <br />pay to the city for the use cud services of such system ~he fees, rents <br />and cb~rges according to the following schedule of rates. <br /> <br /> (b) CT~rges for the disposal of sek~ge discharged into the <br />city sewage system will be based upon the water consumed on the premises <br />as measured by meters, used for this purpose at the rate of thirteen cents <br />p~r hundred cubic feet. The mini~mu c~ge for such services sb~ll be <br />fifty-two cents per month. <br /> <br /> (c) Charges for the treatment of sewage by the city will be <br />based upon the water consumed on the premises as measuredby m~ers~ used <br />for this purpose, as fellows: <br /> <br /> (1) For the First fifteen thousa~d cubic fee~ used in a~ <br />one month, twenty-cents per hundred cubic feet. <br /> <br /> (2) For ar~V next quantity Ln excess of fifteen thousand <br />cubic feet but not over OhO million cubic feet used in ~_uy one month: <br />thirteen ceD£s per hundred cubic feet. <br /> <br /> (~) For any nex~ quantity in excess of one million cubic <br />feet used in any one month, eleven cents per h~red cubic feet. <br /> <br /> The minimum c~arge for such services' sb~]] be eighty-five cents <br />per month. <br /> <br /> Charges for dwettLng ~_%s Lu premises '~ith Lar~netered rater <br />cor~e~i~s wall be as follows. ~ <br /> <br /> <br />
