City incinerator by persons other than residents with refuse <br />from their personal premises, a fee of $5.50 per ton or a <br />minimum fee of $1.10 per load shall be charged for the ser- <br />vice. <br /> <br /> (b) Delivery to a city landfill by persons other <br />than residents of the city with refuse from their personal <br />abode shall pay a fee of $3.00 per ton or $1.50 per cubic <br />yard or a minimum charge of $1.50 per load, whichever is <br />greater. The fee for depositing rubber tires that have not <br />b~en sliced, chopped, or otherwise sufficiently deformed to <br />lose their rebounding characterestics in the option of the <br />director of public works shall be triple the rates speci- <br />fied herein. <br /> <br /> (c) Whenever refuse brought by any person to a <br />city incinerator or landfill for disposal is of such volume <br />or character as to cause undue expense to the city, the <br />director shall refuse to accept the same unless such person <br />shall agree to pay a service charge based upon the cost of <br />handling and disposing of such refuse. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held March 23, 1971. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
