AN ORDINAIqCE CLOSING THAT CERTAIN ALLEY LOCATED NORTH <br />OF COLUMBIA STREET. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Robert L. Ewell and Nell F. Ewell have made <br />application to vacate, close and discontinue the hereinafter de- <br />scribed alley; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by resolution of this Council, adopted May 11, <br />1971, viewers were appointed pursuant to Section 15.1-364 of the <br />Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, to view the hereinafter de- <br />scribed alley and to report in writing whether in their opinion, <br />any, and if any, what inconvenience would result from discontinu- <br />ing the below described alley; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the said viewers have reported in writing that <br />in their opinion no inconvenience would result from closing and <br />discontinuing said alley; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmoutk, Virginia that: <br /> <br />That certain alley 10' in width located 110' <br />West of the western right of way line of <br />Jamestown Avenue and extending north 105' <br />from the northern right of way line of Columbia <br />Street; <br /> <br />be, and the same is hereby closed and vacated as a public alley. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />at a meeting held June 22, 1971. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
