AN ORDINANCE TO ~MEND SECTION 4-5 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE <br />OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, 1961, PERTAINING TO DRY CLEAN- <br />ING PICK-UP STATIONS. <br /> <br /> Be it ordained by the Council of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, that Section 4-5 of the' Zoning Ordi- <br />nance of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1961, be amended <br />and re0rdained to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 4-5. Commercial C-1 District Uses. <br /> <br />(a) Within the Commercial C-1 District the fol- <br />lowing uses are allowed: <br /> <br />Accessory uses and structures incidental to any <br />permitted residential use, such as s~rvant's <br />quarters, garages, greenhouses or workshops, <br />provided that none shall be rented or occupied for <br />gain, that no accessory building shall be inhabited <br />by other than employees of the owner, lessee, or <br />tenant of the premises; provided that no accessory <br />building to be used for living quarters shall be <br />constructed upon a plot until the construction of <br />the principal building has been commenced. <br /> <br />Accessory uses clearly incidental to a permitte.d <br />use and which will not create a nuisance or hazard. <br /> <br />Agencies and offices rendering specialized services <br />in the professions, finance, real estate and broker- <br />age, including service agencies not involving on- <br />premises retail trade or on-premises services with <br />and to the general public, nor wholesale trade on- <br />premises, nor maintenance of a stock of goods for <br />sale Lo the general public. <br /> <br />Antiques and gift retail sales. <br /> <br />Art supply retail sales. <br /> <br />Automobile parking operated in conjunction with per- <br />mitted uses and in accordance with the requirements of <br />Section 3-19. <br /> <br />Banks. <br /> <br />Barber, beauty and other personal services. <br /> <br />Book and stationery store. <br /> <br /> <br />
