~2q ORDINA~CE TO CLOSE A PORTION OF A PAPER STREET AND DESIGNATED AS VIRGINIA STATE ROUTE 653. WHEREAS, Tasty Baking Company has made appli- cation to vacate and close that hereinafter describe~ portion of Virginia State Route 653; and WHEREAS, by resolution of this Council adopted January 11, 1972, viewers were appointed pursuant to Section 15.1-364 of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, to view the hereinafter described portion of the said street and to report in writing whether in their opinion any~ and if any, what inconvenience would result from the discontinuing of the below described street; and WHEREAS, zhe said viewers have reported in writing that in their opinion no inconvenience would result from closing and discontinuing said street; the City Virginia NOW, THEREFORE~ BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of of Portsmouth, Virginia, that that portion of Route 653 described as follows: Ail that certain portion of a paper street known and designated as Virginia State route 653 and more particularly described as follows, to-wit: BEGINNING at a point on the south- eastern right-of-way line of Coast Guard Boulevard which said point bears south 61° 05' 30" west and 380.08 feet from the in- tersection of said right-of-way line with the southern property line of property owned by ~he United States Coast Guard; thence running south 14° 47' 30" east 482.59 feet to a point; thence running south 70° 06' 20' west 592.18 feet to a point; thence south 86° 15' 25" west 107.85 feet to a point; thence north 70° 06' 20" east 668.33 feet to a point; thence running north 14° 47' 30" west 447.61 feet to a point on the southeastern right-of-way line of Coast Guard Boulevard; thence running north 61° 05' 30" east 30.93 feet along said southeastern right-of-way line to the true point of beginning, be and the same is hereby closed and vacated as a public street.
