~2q ORDINA~CE TO CLOSE A PORTION OF A PAPER STREET <br />AND DESIGNATED AS VIRGINIA STATE ROUTE 653. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Tasty Baking Company has made appli- <br />cation to vacate and close that hereinafter describe~ <br />portion of Virginia State Route 653; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by resolution of this Council adopted <br />January 11, 1972, viewers were appointed pursuant to Section <br />15.1-364 of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, to view <br />the hereinafter described portion of the said street and to <br />report in writing whether in their opinion any~ and if any, <br />what inconvenience would result from the discontinuing of <br />the below described street; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, zhe said viewers have reported in writing <br />that in their opinion no inconvenience would result from <br />closing and discontinuing said street; <br /> <br />the City <br />Virginia <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE~ BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that that portion of <br />Route 653 described as follows: <br /> <br />Ail that certain portion of a paper street <br />known and designated as Virginia State route <br />653 and more particularly described as follows, <br />to-wit: BEGINNING at a point on the south- <br />eastern right-of-way line of Coast Guard <br />Boulevard which said point bears south 61° <br />05' 30" west and 380.08 feet from the in- <br />tersection of said right-of-way line with <br />the southern property line of property owned <br />by ~he United States Coast Guard; thence <br />running south 14° 47' 30" east 482.59 feet <br />to a point; thence running south 70° 06' 20' <br />west 592.18 feet to a point; thence south 86° <br />15' 25" west 107.85 feet to a point; thence <br />north 70° 06' 20" east 668.33 feet to a point; <br />thence running north 14° 47' 30" west 447.61 <br />feet to a point on the southeastern right-of-way <br />line of Coast Guard Boulevard; thence running <br />north 61° 05' 30" east 30.93 feet along said <br />southeastern right-of-way line to the true <br />point of beginning, be and the same is hereby <br />closed and vacated as a public street. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held February 8, 1972. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
