AN ORDINANCE TO CLOSE A PORTION OF AXSON STREET BETWEEN KENNEDY <br />DRIVE AND PARTRIDGE STREET (FORMERLY PORTER ROAD) S-73-2. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, A. T. Larsen, Alice Z. Larsen, and Nancy C. <br />Nelson have made application to vacate and close that herein- <br />after described portion of Axson Street between Kennedy Drive <br />and Partridge Street; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by resolution of this Council adopted April <br />24, 1973, viewers were appointed pursuant to Section 15.1-364 <br />of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, to view the herein- <br />after described street and to report in writing whether in <br />their opinion any, and if any, what inconvenience would result <br />from the discontinuing of the below described street; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the said viewers have reported in writing <br />that in their opinion no inconvenience would result from clos- <br />ing and discontinuing said street; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of <br />the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that that portion of Axson <br />Street described as follows be and the same is hereby closed <br />and vacated as a public street; <br /> <br /> Ail that portion of Axson Street lying <br />between the northern right-of-way line of <br />Kennedy Drive, as extended across Axson <br />Street, and the southern right-of-way line <br />of Partridge Street (formerly Porter Road); <br />said portion to be closed ~s unpaved and is <br />50 feet in width and approximately 100 feet <br />in length. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth~ <br />Virginia, at a meeting held June 12, 1973. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
