AN ORDINANCE TO CLOSE A PORTION OF LOUISA TERRACE (FORMERLY <br />HIGH .STREET) BETWEEN WESTERN BRANCH BOULEVARD AND KING STREET <br />(S-73-3). <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Smith Brothers, Inc. of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />has made application to vacate and close that hereinafter de- <br />scribed portion of Louisa Terrace; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by resolution of this Council adopted <br />February 27, 1973, viewers wereappointed pursuant to Section <br />15.1-364 of the Coda of Virginia, 1950, as amended, to view <br />the hereinafter described portion of the said street and to <br />report in writing whether in their opinion any, and if any, <br />what inconvenience would result from the discontinuing of <br />the below described street; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the said viewers have reported in writing <br />that in their opinion no inconvenience would result from closing <br />and discontinuing said street; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that that portion of Louisa Terrace <br />described as follows be and the same is hereby closed and vacated <br />as a public street; <br /> <br /> Ail that certain parcel or tract of land, <br />located in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />being triangular in shape and being shown on <br />a plat of Livingston Land Company, recorded <br />in Map Book 5, page 43, in the Clerk's Office <br />of the Circuit Court of the City of Chesapeake, <br />and on said plat being bounded on the north and <br />west by the then Atlantic Coastline Railway, <br />now the Seaboard Coastline Rail~ay; on the North <br />and East by a line designated North 40" West; <br />and on the south by all or portions of lots <br />9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19 and 21, in Block 135 of <br />the Plat of Livingston Land Company, and de- <br />signated therein as ~ portion of High Street, <br />which said portion of High Street was at a <br />later t~,%e renamed Louisa Terrace, and which <br />said parcel of land is at the present time, <br />bounded as follows: <br /> <br /> On the north and west by the right-of-way of <br />the Seaboard Coastline Railroad Company; on the <br />north and east by the lands of Smith Brothers, <br />Incorporated, and on the south by the lands of <br />Doctor's Court, Inc., Dr. Neal P.
