AN ORDINANCE TO CLOSE A PORTION OF LOUISA TERRACE (FORMERLY HIGH .STREET) BETWEEN WESTERN BRANCH BOULEVARD AND KING STREET (S-73-3). WHEREAS, Smith Brothers, Inc. of Portsmouth, Virginia, has made application to vacate and close that hereinafter de- scribed portion of Louisa Terrace; and WHEREAS, by resolution of this Council adopted February 27, 1973, viewers wereappointed pursuant to Section 15.1-364 of the Coda of Virginia, 1950, as amended, to view the hereinafter described portion of the said street and to report in writing whether in their opinion any, and if any, what inconvenience would result from the discontinuing of the below described street; and WHEREAS, the said viewers have reported in writing that in their opinion no inconvenience would result from closing and discontinuing said street; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that that portion of Louisa Terrace described as follows be and the same is hereby closed and vacated as a public street; Ail that certain parcel or tract of land, located in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, being triangular in shape and being shown on a plat of Livingston Land Company, recorded in Map Book 5, page 43, in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of the City of Chesapeake, and on said plat being bounded on the north and west by the then Atlantic Coastline Railway, now the Seaboard Coastline Rail~ay; on the North and East by a line designated North 40" West; and on the south by all or portions of lots 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19 and 21, in Block 135 of the Plat of Livingston Land Company, and de- signated therein as ~ portion of High Street, which said portion of High Street was at a later t~,%e renamed Louisa Terrace, and which said parcel of land is at the present time, bounded as follows: On the north and west by the right-of-way of the Seaboard Coastline Railroad Company; on the north and east by the lands of Smith Brothers, Incorporated, and on the south by the lands of Doctor's Court, Inc., Dr. Neal P. Davis, Dr.
