AN ORDINANCE CLOSING FLORAL LANE BETWEEN THE SOUTHERN RIGHT OF <br />WAY LINE OF RIVER SHORE ROAD AND T~{E BALLARD FARM. <br /> <br /> W~HEREAS, Mr. and Frs. Robert Wi Wentz, Jr., Mr. and <br />Mrs. Carlton Sears and Ballard Associates have made application <br />to vacate, close and discontinue the hereinafter described <br />portion of Floral Lane; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by resolution of this Council, adopted May <br />22, 1973, viewers were appointed pursuant to Section 15.1-364 <br />of ~he Code of Virginia (1950) as amended, to view the herein- <br />after portions of the said street and to report in writing <br />whether in their opinion, any, and if any, what inconvenience <br />would result from discontinuing the below described street; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the saidviewers have reported in writing <br />that in their opinion no inconvenience would result from closing <br />and discontinuing said street. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that that portion of Floral Lane <br />hereinafter described, be closed and vacated as a public street. <br /> <br /> Ail that certain piece or parcel of land <br />lying and being in the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, and constituting that portion of <br />Floral Lane lying between the southern right <br />of way line of River Shore Road and the Bal- <br />lard Farm, such street being 50 feet in width <br />and 170 feett more or less, in length, and <br />presently being in an unpaved and unimproved <br />condition. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Vir- <br />ginia, at a meeting held June 26, 1973. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
