AN OP. DINANCE TO AN{END THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIR- GiNIA~ 1973. BY AMENDING SECTIONS 16-39, 16-40, 16-41, 16-42, 16-43 AND 16r44 PERTAINING Tf ThE CO}~,~UNiTY MENTAL HEALTH AND MENTAL RETARDATION SERVICES BOARD. That the Code of the City of i973~ be amended by amending Sections !6-39, 16.-43 and follows: the Cit~k.of Ports~ Portsm6~h~ Virginia, !6-40 16-44 of said Code, such ame'_.~ded sec%ions ~to read as Section 16-39~ Co~umunity mental health and mental me- tardation services beard establishe~. The com~nunity mental health and mental retardation ser~mces boare of the city is hereby established. Section 16-40. Composition. i~- The cops!unity mental hes.!th and mental retardation services board shall consist of not less than Elve' '- k'~5'~ nor more than fifteen (t5) members appointed by city ce~ancil~' Sectmon 16-41 Term of The term of office of each member of the Co~lunity mental health and mental retardation services board shall be for three (3) years from the first day of January of hhe year of ap- pointment, except that of the members first appointed, several shall be appointed for terms of one (1) year each, several for terms of two (2) years eaoh~ and the remainin~ members of said board for terms of three (3) years each.
