AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIR- <br />GINIA, 1973, BY At~ENDING SECTION 18-3 THEREOF PERTAiNiNG TO <br />REPORT OF T~ANSACTiONS OF JUNK DEALERS. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of.Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, %hat: <br /> <br /> i. That the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />!973~ he amended by amending Section 18-3 cf said Code, such <br />amended section to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 18-3. Report of transactions of junk dealers. <br /> <br /> Every merchant or foundr~an who deals in jumk, old <br />metals and similar articles and every junk dealer who deals in <br />junk, old metals and similar articles shall prepare a report at <br />the end of each day of all goods, articles or things bought or <br />received during such day and file such report not later than <br />12:OO noon of the following day with the chief of police or other <br />law enforcement officer of the city. Such report shall include <br />the name~ residence, race~ sex and date of birth of the person <br />selling or deliverlng the same togetker witk the license n~m~er <br />of any motor vehicle being used or driven by such person at the <br />time of the transaction. <br /> <br /> 2.
