A building in which is conducted <br />the principal use of the plot on which it is situated. In any <br />residential district any structure containing a dwelling unit <br />shall be deemed to be the principal building on the plot on which <br />the same is situated. <br /> <br /> Building setback line. A line establishing the minimum <br />allowable distance between the nearest portion of any building, <br />excluding the outermost three (3) feet of any uncovered porches, <br />steps, eaves, gutters and similar fixtures, and the center <br />line of any street when measured perpendicularly thereto. <br /> <br /> Con~ercial use. Any use permitted by this chapter in <br />a con~ercial district. <br /> <br /> Designed shopping center. A retail business develop- <br />ment planned as a unit, characterized by groups of retail uses <br />having the co~on use of specifically designated off-street <br />areas for access~ parking or service. <br /> <br /> Group home. A group home shall consist of a facflity <br />to provide shelter for at least seven [7) infants under the age <br />of eighteen (18) years who are not able to reside in their <br />homes. The group home shall provide adult supervision twenty- <br />four (24) hours per day. The group home shall further provide <br />rehabilitative services approved by the Department of Institutions <br />of the State of Virginia and shall be licensed by the State of <br />Virginia. <br /> <br /> Group housing project. A group housing project'shall <br />consist of one or more residential structures on a site at least <br />three (3) acres in size where the building arrange~ent is such <br />that the property cannot be subdivided into conventional streets <br />and lots that meet the requirements of this chapter and the <br />subdivision chapter of the city. <br /> <br /> Incidental home occupation. Any use conducted entirely <br />within a dwelling, and carried on by the occupants thereof, which <br />use is clearly incidental and secondary to the use of the dwelling <br />purposes and does not change the character thereof, and in connec- <br />tion with which there is no display, no stock-in-trade nor <br />dity sold upon the premzses and no person, not a resident of the <br />premises, is employed specifically in connection with the incidental <br />home occupation, and in connection with which there is no personal <br />physical service performed. <br /> <br />-2- <br /> <br /> <br />
