AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $4,370,000. FROM THE COM~4UNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT FUND TO PERFO~ THE CO~U.~IT~ DEVELOP~fENT PRO- <br />GRA~ PSq{SUANT TO THE APPROVED BUDGET THEREFOR. <br /> <br /> W-HERF~S, the City of Portsmouth has been awarded a <br /> Community Development Block Grant from the U. S. Department <br /> of Housing and Urban Development for the program year from <br /> Jahuary 1, 1975 to September 30, 1975; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth has been authorized <br />to commence requesting grant funds up to $4,370,000. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia that the sum of Four Million Three <br />Hundred Seventy Thousand and No/lOO ($4,370,000.) Dollars be, <br />and the same hereby is, appropriated from the Community Develop- <br />ment Fund to perform the Community Development Program pursuant <br />to the approved budget therefor. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held April 22, 1975. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
