AN ORDII~ANCE CLOSING THE FOLLOWING STP~EET: TWO TRIA/~GULAR PORTIONS OF SOUTHSIDE OF WATSON STREET. (S-76-17). WHEREAS~ Portsmouth Redevelopment And Housing Authority has made application to vacate, close and dis- continue the hereinafter described portions of a certain street; and WHEREAS, by Resolution of this Council adopted- August 10, 1976, viewers were appointed pursuant to Section 15.1-364, Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, to view the hereinafter described portions of said street, and to report in writing whether in their opinion any, and if any, what inconvenience would result from discontinuing the below described street; and WHEREAS, the said viewers have reported in writing that in their opinion no inconvenience would result from the closing and discontinuing of said street. NOW, T~LEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that those portions of said street hereinafter described be closed and vacated as a public street: Beginning on the south side of Watson Street approximately 41 feet northeast from its intersection with Phillips Street; thence northeast 135.30 feet; thence north- west 56.74 feet; thence southwest along the arc of a curve having a radius of 150 feet a distance of 130 feet, more or less, to ~_he point of origin. Also~ beginning on the south side of Watson Street 205.59 feet west from its intersection with Phillips Street; thence southwest 191.52 feet; thence northeast 97.02 feet; thence southeast along the arc of a curve-having a radius of 150 feet a distance of 114.96 feet to the point of origin. AND, BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the same is hereby closed and vacated as a public street, %hat the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, reserves unto itself perpetual easements, rights and privileges to install, maintain, operate, and replace gas mains, sewer mains, sewer drains, sanitary sewers, storm drains, water mains and laterals,
