AN ORDINANCE TO A~ND ARTICLE VII, CHAPTER 24 OF THE CITY CODE OF POP~SMOUTH BY ADDING SECTIONS 24-153, 24-154, 24-155r 24-157, 24-158, 24-159~ 24-160, PERTAINING TO PE~4ITS FOR PRIVATE USE OF CITY SWI~4ING POOLS. BE'IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Ports- mouth, Virginia: That Article VII, Chapter 24 be amended by adding Sections 24-153, 24-154, 24-155, 24-156, 24-157, 24-158, 24-159, 24-160, pertazning to permits for private use of City Swimming Pools. Section 24-153. Permit for use. The City Manager or Director of Parks and Recreation is hereby authorized to issue a permit for the use of City swimming pools upon the payment of the fees hereinafter establish- ed and upon compliance with the other requirements hereinafter set forth. No meeting or other activity shall be conducted at any City swimming pool other than that stated in the application for a permit. Section 24-154. Fees Established~ The following fees shall be charged for a permit, payable in advance: Fifty or less swimmers ................. $50~00 per 2 hours or fraction thereof~ Over fifty swimmers .................... $75.00 per 2 hours or fraction thereof. Section 24-157. Idemnity. Permittee shall so conduct its activities upon the premises so as not to endanger any person lawfully thereon; and shall indemnify, save and hold harmless the City of Portsmouth and all of its officers, agents and employees from any'and all claims for losses, injuries~ damages and liabilities to person or property occasioned wholly or in part by the acts of the permittee, its agents, officers, employees, guest, patrons or any person admitted to said premises by said permittee, while said premises are used by or are under the control of the per- mittee. Permittee hereby assumes full responsibility for the character, acts and conduct of all persons admitted to said premises by the consent of the permittee, its agents, officers or employees.
