AN ORDINANCE TO A~ND ARTICLE VII, CHAPTER 24 OF THE CITY CODE <br />OF POP~SMOUTH BY ADDING SECTIONS 24-153, 24-154, 24-155r 24-157, <br />24-158, 24-159~ 24-160, PERTAINING TO PE~4ITS FOR PRIVATE USE <br />OF CITY SWI~4ING POOLS. <br /> <br /> BE'IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Ports- <br />mouth, Virginia: <br /> <br /> That Article VII, Chapter 24 be amended by adding <br />Sections 24-153, 24-154, 24-155, 24-156, 24-157, 24-158, 24-159, <br />24-160, pertazning to permits for private use of City Swimming <br />Pools. <br /> <br />Section 24-153. Permit for use. <br /> <br /> The City Manager or Director of Parks and Recreation <br />is hereby authorized to issue a permit for the use of City <br />swimming pools upon the payment of the fees hereinafter establish- <br />ed and upon compliance with the other requirements hereinafter <br />set forth. No meeting or other activity shall be conducted at <br />any City swimming pool other than that stated in the application <br />for a permit. <br /> <br />Section 24-154. Fees Established~ <br /> <br /> The following fees shall be charged for a permit, <br />payable in advance: <br /> <br />Fifty or less swimmers ................. $50~00 <br />per 2 hours or fraction thereof~ <br /> <br />Over fifty swimmers .................... $75.00 <br />per 2 hours or fraction thereof. <br /> <br />Section 24-157. Idemnity. <br /> <br /> Permittee shall so conduct its activities upon the <br />premises so as not to endanger any person lawfully thereon; and <br />shall indemnify, save and hold harmless the City of Portsmouth <br />and all of its officers, agents and employees from any'and all <br />claims for losses, injuries~ damages and liabilities to person <br />or property occasioned wholly or in part by the acts of the <br />permittee, its agents, officers, employees, guest, patrons or <br />any person admitted to said premises by said permittee, while <br />said premises are used by or are under the control of the per- <br />mittee. Permittee hereby assumes full responsibility for the <br />character, acts and conduct of all persons admitted to said <br />premises by the consent of the permittee, its agents, officers <br />or employees. <br /> <br /> <br />
