ORDINANCES - 1976 <br /> <br />1. Ordinance to amend Sections 6-1 and 6-2 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, <br /> 1973, pertaining to the adoption of the Virginia Uniform Statewide Build- <br /> ing Code. <br /> <br />2. Ordinance to amend the Codee of City of Portsmouth, 1973, by amending Section <br /> 5-3 pertaining to registration of bicycles. <br /> <br />3. Ordinance to appropriate $477,000 frmm Capital Improvement Fund for the City's <br /> participation in the costs of constructing additional lanes on the Churchland <br /> Bridge. <br /> <br />4. Ordinance to appropriate $56,000. from the Capital Improvament Fund for the <br /> construction of off-site drainage in the Mt. Hermon Redevelopment area. <br /> <br />5. Ordinance to appropriate $57,400. from Capital Improvement Fund for engineer- <br /> ing and design specifications for the Deep Creek Boulevard to George Washing- <br /> ton Hiighway drainage project. <br /> <br />6. Ordinance to appropriate $40,000. from Capital Improvement Fund for con- <br /> sultant engineering fees in reference to the SuffoIk Water Contract. <br /> <br />7. Ordinance to appropriate $3,486. frcm Capital Improvement Fund for drainage <br /> of Scott's Creek. <br /> <br />8. Ordinance to appropriate $965,000. from General Revenue Sharing Trust Fund <br /> in categories for operating expenditures for public safety and capital ex- <br /> penditures for General Multi-purpose Equipment. <br /> <br />9. Ordinance to apprepriate $132,847. from Federal Grants for continuation <br /> of the Methadone Treatment and Rebabilitation Program. <br /> <br />10. Ordinance to appropriate $110,000. from Federal Grants Fund for a six month <br /> continuation of the Portsmouth High Intensity Target Program. <br /> <br />11. Ordinance to appropriate $39,598. from Federal Grants Fund for continued <br /> operation of Portsmouth Senior Citizens Coordinator Program; purrchase of <br /> equipment for Commonvealth Attorney's office and operation of Portsmouth's <br /> Narcotic and Dangerous Drug Program. <br /> <br />12. Ordinance to amend Code by adding Sections 23-196 and 23-197 Pertaining to <br /> making a portion of Railroad Avenue and a portion of Carolina Avenue one way. <br /> <br />13. Ordinance to amend Classification and Pay Plan pertaining to salaries of <br /> Clerk of Circuit Court and the City Clerk; and incorporating Assistant City <br /> Manager into classified section of such Pav Plan. <br /> <br />14. Ordinance to amend Code pertaining,to crimes and offenses involving use and <br /> possession of weapons. <br /> <br />15. Ordinance to amend Code pertaining to membership of the Board of Examination <br /> of Plumbers. <br /> <br /> <br />
