AN ORDINANCE CLOSING THE FOLLOWING STP~EETS: PARCEL I, A PORTION OF DOUGLAS AVENUE, PARCEL It~ A PORTION OF PRIMROSE STREET (S-76-28 & 29). WHEREAS~ Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Au- thority has made application to vacate and close and discon- tinue Parcels I and II, the hereinafter described portions of certain streets; and WHEREAS, by Resolution of this Council adopted Novem- ber 23, 1976, viewers were appointed pursuant to Section 15.1- 364, Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, to view the herein- after described portions of said streets, and to report in writing whether in their opinion any, and if any, what incon- venience would result from discontinuing the below described streets; and WHEREAS, the said viewers have reported in writing that in their opinion no inconvenience would result from the closing and discontinuing of said streets. NOW~ THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of ~he City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that those portions of said streets hereinafter described, be closed and vacated as public streets: PARCEL I - DOUGLAS AVENUE Ail that certain piece or parcel of land, lying and being in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, and comprising that portion of Doug- las Avenue which is bounded on the North by the southern right of way line Qf Counny Street, and on the South by the northern right of way line of Columbia Street. ginia, at PARCEL II - PRIMROSE STREET Ail that certain piece or parcel of landr lying and being in the City of Portsmouth, Vir- .ginia~ and comprising that portion of Primrose Street which is bounded on the South by the northern right of way line of Holladay StreeT, and on the North by the southern right of way line of Blair Street.
