AN ORDINANCE CLOSING qlqE FOt2LOWING STREETS: p~q~r. I, A PORTION OF PARiIL]I~E STREET; AND PARCEL II, A PORTION OF REID STR~±~: W-~MREAS, the City of Portsmouth has made application to vacate, close and discontinue the hereinafter portions of certain streets; and WHEREAS, by Resolution of this Council adopted November 8~ 1977, viewers were appointed pursuant to Section 15.t-364, Code of VJ/ginia, 1950, as amended, to view the hereinafter described portions of saict streets, and to report in w~iting whether in their opinion any, and if any, what inconvenience would result frc~ discontinuing th~ below described streets; and WHEREASr the said viewers have reported in writing that in their opinion~ no inconvenience would result from the closing and discontinuing of said streets. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Ports- m~Gth, Virginia, that that portion of said streets hereinafter describedr he closed and vacated as public streets~ PARCEL I - PARTRIDGE STR~i' Ail that certain piece or parcel of landr lying and being in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, and cc~prising that portion of Partridge Street lying hetwe~u the east right-of-way of Nicholson Street and the east right-of-way line of Reid Street. (S-77-27) PARCEL II - t~ID S~'i' All that certain piece or parcel of land, lying and being in the City of Portsn~uth~ Virginiaf and cc~prising that portion of Reid Street begir~ at thS northwest corner of Reid and Partridge Streets; thence north along the west right-of-way of Reid Street 30'; thence East 40' to the east right-of-tray line of Reid Street~ thence south, along said right- of-way 30' to the north right-of-way line of Par~r__idge Street; thence west 40' to the point of origin.
