AN ORDINANCE TO AMENqD THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, <br />1973, BY A~NDING SECTION 40-134(c) THEREOF; PERTAINING TO OFF-STRm~I' <br />AUTOMOBILe. PARKING iN COMMERCIAL C-3 DISTR~CT DIMENSIONAL REQUIREMENTS. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDALN~D by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 40-134 (c) of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, 1973, be amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 40-134. C~umercial C-3 District Dimensional requirements. <br /> <br />(c) Off-street autc~obile parking: Upon application, a special <br />exception to the reql~irements specified in subparagraph (4) of subsection <br />(a) may be granted pursuant to the procedure outlined in subparagraph <br />(1.2) of subsection (a). Where off-street parking garage structures are <br />involved, a special exception may include reduction of the size of <br />parking spaces below t~he n6nimum specified in Section 40-31 to accom0date <br />so called compact autc~obites. In considering any such application, the <br />c~g~Jssion must approve the systsm proposed for identifying those levels <br />and/or areas designed and reserved for c~act autc~Dtive vehicles. <br /> <br /> Ad~pted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a <br />meeting held October 25, 1977. <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
