1 (FH-1) as defined in Chapter 12 1/2 of the City Code, <br />the requirements of the Erosion and Sediment Control <br />Ordinance and the Flood Control Ordinance shall be appli- <br />cable. <br /> <br /> (7) Disturbed areas for commercial or non-commercial <br />use of less than ten thousand (10,000) square feet in size, <br />provided, however, in the event such commercial and non- <br />commercial uses are located in Flood Hazard District 1 <br />(FH-1 as defined in Chapter 12 1/2 of the City Code, the <br />requirements of the Erosion and Sediment Control Ordinance <br />and the Flood Control Ordinance shall be applicable. <br /> <br /> (8) Installation of fence, <br />or telephone and electric poles <br />or poles; <br /> <br />billboard and sign ~osts <br />and other kinds of posts <br /> <br /> (9) Emergency work to protect life, limb or property, <br />and emergency repairs; provided that if the land disturbing <br />activity would have required an approved erosion and sediment <br />control plan if the activity were not an emergehcy then the <br />land area disturbed shall be shaped and stabilized in accord- <br />ance with the requirement of the Plan Approving Authority. <br /> <br /> (10) Engineering operations on privately owned, occupied <br />or operated agricultural, horticultural or forest lands <br />such as the construction of terraces, terrace outlets, check <br />dams, desilting basins, floodwater retarding structures, <br />channel improvements, floodways, dikes, ponds, ditches, and <br />the like; the utilization of strip cropping, lister furrowing, <br />contour cultivating~ contour furrowing, land drainage, land <br />irrigation, seeding and planting of waste, sloping, abondoned <br />or eroded lands to water-conserving and erosion-preventing <br />plants, trees and grasses, forestation and reforestation, <br />rotation of crops, soil stabilization with trees, grasses, <br />legumes, and other thick growing, soil holding crops; re- <br />tardation of runnoff by increasing absorption of rainfall and <br />retirement from cultivation of steep, highly erosive areas <br />and areas now badly gullied or otherwise eroded. <br /> <br /> (11) Shore erosion and control projects on tidal waters <br />recommended by soil and wa~er conservation districts in which <br />the projects <br />Commission. <br /> <br />are located or are approved by the Marine Resources <br /> <br /> 2. This ordinance shall take effect from the date of <br />its adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
