(2) With respect to' any allowance payment falling due after the member's-nozmal retirement date, or. inca month before' the member's normal retirement date and after any sOCial security allowance payment faliing due that is based on the member's primary social security benefit, or after entitlement to totaI and permanent disability benefits under - the Social Security Act, an amount which when added to 'one-half 'of~ the initial annual amount of .the primary social security benefit~at his ~ n~ozraal retirement date, or to one-half of the initial amount Of any social security~ payment ~that is based on the. member's primary social Security benefit"and falling duebefore.the member's nozmal retirement, or to one-half of the amount of the primary.total and permanent disability benefit under the Social Security Act %0. which the member first became - antitled, would equal t~o-thirds of the ~foer's average final cc~pensation'; provided that the benefit payable under %bis 'paragraph shall not be less than the amount-that would have~ been payable under the provisions of Section 31-65. · · ~ (b) The foregoing pzovisions to the contrazy notwithstanding, if a members retirement allowance is payable under one.' of the options of Section 31-74, the amount and duration thereof shall be determined, in accordance with the provisions of the 'applicable option. .~ (c) The ccr~pensation finally awarded to the membe/r under the Virginia'Workmen' s Compensation Ac5 shall be deducted fr°m ~ny allowance becoming~ payable under ~the provisions of ~this-section,~ and the excess of the allowance, if any, shall be paid to the member.~ When ~ae time for ~payr~nts of cca~pensation under such-act has elapsed, the'member shall thereafter receive 'the ~ull amount of Such ~llowance payable monthly during his- lifetime and' continued disability. · ' ' Section 31~70..
