XIV - A PORTION OF AVENUE. WHEREAS, Portsmout/~ Redevelopment And Housing Authority have made application to vacate and close and discontinue the hereinafter described portions of certain streets; and WHEREAS, by a Resolution of this Council adopted January 24, 1978, viewers were appointed pursuant to Section 15.1-1-364, Code of V/rginia, 1950, as ~ded, to view the hereinafter described portions of said streets and to report in writing whether in their opinion any~ and if any, what Lnconvenience would result frcm discontinuing the below described streets; and WHERFAS, the said viewers have reported in writing that in their opinion no inconvenience would result frc~ the closing and discontinu/ng of said streets. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Ports- mouth, Virginia, that those portions of said streets hereinafter described be closed and vacated as public streets. Ail that certain piece or parcel of land, lying 'and being in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, and cu~rising that portion of Nelson Street lying between Seventh Street and washington Street. FAYbiTE STREET All that certhin piece or parcel of land, lying and being in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, and cu~rising that portion of Fayette Street lying between Seventh Street and Washington Street. FDWARDS £~REET All that certain piece or parcel of land, lying and being in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, and cc~prising that portion of Edwards Street lying between Seventh Street and Eighth Street.
