AN ORDINANCE CLOSING THE FOLLOWING STREETS: A PORTION OF LOUISA TERRACE AND NOTTAWAY AVENUE° WHEREAS, Herbert E. Rogerson has made application to vacate and close and discontinue the hereinafter described portions of certain streets~ and W~EREAS£ by a Resolution of this Council adopted October 29, 1978f viewers were appointed pursuant to Section 15.1-364~ Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, to view the hereinafter described portions of said streets and to report in writing whether in their opinion any~ and if any~ what inconvenience would result from discontinuing the below described streets; and WHEREAS~ %he said viewers have reported in writing that in their opinion no inconvenience would result from the closing and discontinuing of said streets. NOW, THEHEFORE~ BE IT ORDAINED by-the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that those portions of said streets hereinafter described be closed and vacated as public streets. LOUISA TERRACE Beginning at the southeast corner of Louisa Avenue and Louisa Terrace; thence east along the south right-of-way,'line of Louisa Terrace approximately 385 feet to the right-of-way line of property of the Seaboard Coast Line Railroad; thence north- easterly along said right-of-way approxi- mately 160 feet to the north right-of-way line of Louisa Terrace; thence west along said right-of-way approximately 520 feet to the east right-of-way line of Louisa Avenue; thence south 100 feet to the south right-of-way line of Louisa Terrace, the point of beginning. north along_the:east right-of-way ofNottoway ~venue 135 feet; thence west 60 feet to the west right-of-way line of Not%oway Avenue; thence south along said right-of-way 127 feet to the north right-of-way line of Louisa Terrace; thence east along said right-of-way 60 ~eet to %he point of or~in.
